On Sunday May 2nd, 2010 participants joined us and learned about how worms can turn garbage into garden gold! Worms are one of nature’s most important recyclers. Worm composting is simple, low-cost and can be done year round. Worm bins are odorless and don’t require much space! In this hands-on workshop, participants will be looking at the worm bin at Sustainable Fairfax, using power tools to put together their own worm bin kit, learning about the proper care of their worms, and discovering the secrets of making worm tea.

This is our first class in our Hands-on Back to Basics Series.
