Did you know that outdoor air quality in urban Los Angeles is over twice as clean as the indoor quality of many of our homes? Or that approximately 85,000 new chemicals worldwide have been introduced since WW II, while 1,000 chemicals are being added each year? Or that a recent study found as many as 232 chemicals in newborn babies tested?
Join Sustainable Fairfax's Policy Chair Stacy Weinberg-Dieve and MOMAS (Mother's of Marin against the Spray) Debbie Freidman as they share important information on the worst toxin offenders that can be found in your home, your food and in your products, and what you can do to minimize your exposure. We will discuss the impact of lifestyle choices on your health and your environment, while providing resources for ecologically sustainable products, lifestyles and communities. You will hear the latest policy developments on toxins and public health and learn how to successfully advocate for a cleaner, greener community.
