Sustainability Center is Closed
It is official. We are now tenants of the upstairs of 141 Bolinas Rd. Our downstairs education space is closed and the upstairs is our new community meeting, project and work space. We will continue to have events in the backyard and rent out the backyard space, especially now that we have an amazing oven!

It has been a long road of weighing the benefits of the space with the cost and work involved fundraising for and maintaining the downstairs space.  We are taking this as a renewed opportunity to focus our efforts on our education, advocacy and community outreach. We have plans in progress to create a new public face that will better serve the community and hope to make the upstairs space a welcome place for volunteers to work and to continue to hold community meetings. Our strength in the community has not come from occupying space, but from the extraordinary efforts of volunteers and staff acting on on sustainability issues.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors, Sustainable Fairfax
